~ About Early New ~

Following her unseen pace, EarlyNew seemingly has fallen a bit self indulgent in her own realization of what music could be. Since child she learned very basic piano lessons. From adolescent hood till late teens she did not touch piano keys at all owing to untraceable reasons. Yet in teens she began to listen to a variety of music. Until 1996, unknowingly she all of a sudden had a desire to learn guitar. Picking up a classical one, she learned seven lessons of Flamenco styles. Yes 7 hours - one hour per class, 7 times she took. Then this learning was postponed because of relocation. Yet she still strummed the strings from time to time. And right from then she embarked on self learning journey. It may be that she did not met up with a teacher, or it may be that she seemed to have enjoyed the unbound strumming fun, untied and spontaneously. Around 1997 as remembered, she composed her first song with guitar. Oh no. Way before that she actually could have had her first composition on piano, in year around 1991. However, that very ancient one piano work was missing in lost times. Anyhow ever since then she writes, and mostly on guitar.

Having composed quite a few  exploratory instrumental music through the years, With self doubts, EarlyNew yet compiled these little pieces into two concept albums Traveler Take It Easy and One As One. The sonic presentation may be loose, yet she thought to keep them down to tribute the low-fi fun in her personal musical probing. As more songs were written she wanted to release them officially, and here comes with the albums Something Above All and Angels See Angels,  repertoire of which were recorded in 2004, winter time. Hard to analyze, yet this has become thrilling for she has done it all. The meaning to keep the origins of who she was in a self steering mode, perhaps, could be a lovely thing to do in life, so as not to forget the naive impulse from nature. She eventually made it and yet needed to walk away from it to remain awake again.

Early still remembers the tiny radio set, once laid aside on the wood floor in that small attic space where she lived and studied through teens, had accompanied her along. And that reminiscing, popping up as the breeze, does bring her back to some hidden roots
, vividly , remaining undiscovered.

Something Above All has never been for digital sales, and it was for some faith from the beginning. We believe in the good feeling to keep a physical album of music you favor, and play it by simply pressing the key on the music player for the entire repertoir. During the fifty more or less time while you stay with listening to the same singer, it seems to have created an atmosphere to immerse the mood in the time machine. And much more does the physical album remain at hand. Therefore we also seem to want to keep this faith of retaining the good side of only physical album available, and with the hope to meet up with listeners who share the same thought. Yet with the trend of resource saving plus environmental protection, Something Above All would be our first and last physical CD to be kept.
